Please join us in raising a glass to more than half a century of winemaking at our exclusive 50th Vintage Lunch!
Held at the award-winning two-hatted Muse Restaurant on Saturday 29th June, the five-course degustation with welcome canapes will be matched to a selection of brand new and museum-aged Hungerford Hill wines.
The menu will feature a spectacular selection of seasonal dishes carefully crafted by Muse Restaurant Chef/Owner Troy Rhoades-Brown and Head Chef Mitchell Beswick. Think freshly shucked oysters, Petuna ocean trout, slow cooked lamb breast and the famous Muse coconut dessert.
The event will also be an opportunity to showcase our three special release 50th vintage wines from the exceptional 2017 vintage, as well as the Trophy Winning 2017 EPIC Shiraz.
The Epic Shiraz picked up 94 points and four stars in the Gourmet Traveller WINE Top 2019 Hunter Valley Shiraz Awards.
General Manager and Chief Winemaker Bryan Currie said, “Lucky for us, 2017 was a cracking vintage in New South Wales, so we decided to make three wines from that harvest for special release; Tumbarumba Chardonnay, Hilltops Cabernet and Hunter Valley Shiraz”.
All three wines will be exclusively available to try for the first time at the 50th Vintage Lunch, prior to official release!
It has been a big year for us, having recently been awarded as the Best Cellar Door with Food of 2019. The 50th Vintage Lunch will be the ultimate celebration with the opportunity to sample local produce with an emphasis on seasonality and quality, together with surprise live entertainment.
